Hagerstown, MD – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 69-year-old woman who has been missing for more than a week and whose welfare is a growing concern.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Mary Therese Swisher, 69, was last seen at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026, in the Robinwood area of Hagerstown.
Swisher is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last known to be wearing a blue T-shirt and blue jeans.
Investigators believe Swisher may be traveling with a younger adult male. Authorities also said she could possibly be in the Frederick, Maryland, area.
The sheriff’s office stated there is concern for Swisher’s welfare because of reported health issues. Officials are asking anyone who may have seen her or has information about her whereabouts to come forward.
