Wakefield, VA – Residents of Virginia should prepare for a seasonably warm day with a chance of scattered thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. According to the National Weather Service, today’s high temperatures are expected to reach the upper 80s to around 90°F. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible throughout the afternoon and into the evening, bringing brief periods of heavy rain and gusty winds. The unsettled weather pattern is forecast to continue throughout the week, with daily chances of showers and thunderstorms.
Looking ahead to the extended forecast, Monday is expected to bring a 65% chance of showers and thunderstorms, with high temperatures reaching 85°F. On Tuesday, the chance of rain decreases to 35%, with a high of 88°F. The pattern of scattered thunderstorms will continue through Wednesday and Thursday, each with a 50% chance of precipitation and high temperatures in the mid-80s. By Friday, conditions are expected to improve slightly with partly cloudy skies and a high of 86°F.
