Richmond, VA – A sunny and breezy start to the weekend will give way to increasing clouds and possible rain by late Sunday. After a cool and windy overnight, Virginia residents can expect milder temperatures Saturday, but gusty winds will persist.

According to the National Weather Service, Saturday will be mostly sunny with highs reaching the mid-60s. Winds from the southwest will range from 7 to 17 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph. Overnight lows will drop to the mid-30s under mostly clear skies, making for a chilly night.

Sunday continues the spring pattern with highs in the upper 50s and mostly sunny skies early in the day. However, by Sunday night, a 50% chance of showers moves into the region. Overnight temperatures will hover around 46°F.

By Monday, conditions will become wetter, with showers likely, especially in the afternoon. Highs will climb to the upper 60s before cooling again by Monday night when rain chances decrease.

Looking ahead, Tuesday brings partly sunny skies and highs near 59°F, followed by more sunshine on Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures reaching the mid-to-upper 50s.

Drivers along I-95 and surrounding highways should prepare for gusty crosswinds on Saturday and potential wet roads by Sunday night into Monday. Travelers are advised to check forecasts before heading out.
