Annandale, VA – Snow is expected to hit Annandale today, bringing slick conditions before a weekend warm-up. Drivers should prepare for reduced visibility and icy roads as snowfall increases this afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, snow will likely begin around 1 p.m. and continue through 4 p.m., with up to half an inch of accumulation possible. Northwesterly winds will make temperatures feel colder, with a high of just 26°F. Tonight, isolated snow showers may persist, with lows dipping to 21°F.

Thursday will bring scattered snow showers before 1 p.m., followed by clearer skies. Wind gusts up to 30 mph could cause blowing snow, making travel hazardous.

By Friday, a significant warm-up begins. Sunny skies and a high of 39°F will signal a shift in the weather pattern. The warming trend continues into the weekend, with highs reaching 44°F on Saturday and near 48°F on Sunday.

Residents should drive cautiously today and stay updated on changing conditions. Warmer temperatures ahead will help melt ice, but roads may remain slick through Thursday.
