Tallahassee, FL – A wet midweek will give way to a much-needed warm-up in North Florida as rain clears and sunshine returns. Residents can expect cooler nights through Friday, followed by a taste of spring this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, rain will taper off early Thursday, with skies gradually becoming sunny by the afternoon. A cold front moving through will drop overnight temperatures into the upper 20s by Thursday night, leading to frost concerns for rural areas. Friday will be clear and chilly, with a high near 52°F.

By Saturday, temperatures will rebound, reaching 60°F under partly sunny skies. Frost may be possible early in the morning, but warmer daytime conditions will mark the beginning of a gradual warming trend. Sunday will see highs in the mid-60s, with sunshine continuing into next week.

Drivers should be cautious of slick roads Thursday morning and potential frost early Friday. Those with sensitive plants should take precautions against freezing temperatures overnight. Warmer days are ahead, signaling a preview of spring for Tallahassee.
