Burlington, VT – A warming trend will bring spring-like conditions across Vermont, with temperatures expected to rise into the 60s by Monday.
According to the National Weather Service in Burlington, a cooler airmass and persistent low clouds will gradually exit the region, allowing sunshine to return statewide. Most areas, including Montpelier, Rutland, and Barre, are forecast to see high temperatures in the mid to upper 50s by Sunday, with widespread 60s anticipated on Monday, April 14.
This brief warm-up marks a temporary shift from the cooler pattern that has dominated much of early April. Daytime highs on Monday may reach 64°F in southern Vermont and hover near 60°F in northern zones such as St. Albans and Newport. Clearer skies will enhance solar warming, making conditions feel milder despite breezy periods.
Drivers are advised to remain alert for morning fog in some low-lying areas through Sunday morning. No precipitation is forecast during this warming period, offering a welcome reprieve for outdoor activities and travel across the Green Mountain State.
Residents are encouraged to check weather.gov/btv for the latest updates and be prepared for another potential cool-down midweek.
