Brattleboro, VT – Vermont State Police are renewing their appeal for information in the case of a Brattleboro teen who went missing more than a decade ago during Tropical Storm Irene.

According to Vermont State Police, Marble Arvidson, 17, was last seen leaving his Brattleboro residence on the afternoon of August 27, 2011. The teen, an avid hiker, reportedly took his hiking boots with him when he left. Authorities said it is possible Arvidson may have become a victim of the severe flooding and destruction caused by Irene, which struck Vermont the same day.

Police said there have been reported sightings of Arvidson in the Brattleboro area since his disappearance, but none have been confirmed. He remains listed as a missing person. Investigators continue to urge the public to come forward with any new information.

Anyone with details regarding Arvidsonโ€™s disappearance is asked to contact the Vermont State Police Westminster office at 802-722-4600.
