The National Weather Service in Burlington reported that Wednesday and Thursday will bring daytime highs in the mid-70s, with dew points remaining comfortably in the 50s. Nighttime temperatures will drop into the upper 50s, providing a refreshing break from the summer heat.

According to the National Weather Service, sky cover will remain minimal, ensuring clear, sunny days with maximum coverage not exceeding 26% in Burlington. The favorable weather conditions are expected to persist through Thursday, with slightly higher temperatures reaching the low 80s.

However, the tranquil weather will be short-lived. The remnants of Tropical Storm Debby are anticipated to bring significant changes starting Friday. The forecast predicts an 80% chance of rain, with the potential for flash and river flooding across the region. Daytime temperatures on Friday will reach the mid-70s, but the heavy rainfall will continue into Saturday, with a 45% chance of precipitation and temperatures in the upper 70s.

Sunday offers a brief respite with partly sunny skies and highs in the mid-70s. Yet, the wet weather will likely return on Monday with a 40% chance of rain. By mid-next week, the forecast suggests a return to sunny conditions, with temperatures stabilizing in the low 70s.
