Salt Lake City, Utah – Unsettled conditions are on the way for Utah this week, with a mild and dry Tuesday followed by a fast-moving cold front bringing cooler temperatures and a band of showers by Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will remain near or slightly above normal through today, though isolated afternoon showers are possible over higher terrain. However, as a cold front approaches from the west, highs on Wednesday will drop up to 5°F below average, accompanied by showers as the front moves through.

Southern Utah is expected to experience more unsettled weather, with rain showers and cooler temperatures throughout Wednesday. For areas such as Zion and St. George, expect gusty winds and a brief drop in temperatures. Meanwhile, Salt Lake City will see a significant cooldown by midweek, with temperatures hovering around 50°F.

By Thursday, the state will experience a shift, with conditions starting to settle, especially in the southern regions. Highs are forecast to warm steadily, reaching up to 15°F above seasonal norms by the weekend. Prepare for the fluctuating weather and keep an eye on conditions as they evolve.
