Salt Lake City, Utah – Rain is expected to spread across northern Utah and southwest Wyoming by Wednesday afternoon, bringing cooler temperatures and unsettled weather to much of the region, including Salt Lake City.
According to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City, showers will become more widespread later today, particularly across northern Utah and southwest Wyoming. High temperatures are forecast to remain 10 to 15 degrees below seasonal averages, keeping the region cooler than normal.
Communities from Ogden to Park City could see scattered rain throughout the day, with more organized bands developing into the evening. In southwest Wyoming, areas such as Evanston and Kemmerer are also likely to experience periods of moderate rain. Roadways like I-15 and I-80 may see slick spots during heavier showers, so drivers are urged to slow down and use headlights.
Residents are advised to dress in layers, limit outdoor activities, and keep umbrellas or rain gear handy. While no major flooding is expected, brief downpours could reduce visibility and pond on roads.
Showers are expected to taper off later Wednesday night, though additional waves of moisture are possible through the end of the week. Updates will follow as new advisories are issued.
