Utah residents will experience a sharp dip in temperatures this week as a cold front approaches the region. The National Weather Service predicts high temperatures near 75°F on Wednesday, but a noticeable drop to around 59°F is expected by Thursday. Commuters along I-15 and I-80 should prepare for cooler, gusty conditions, especially in the evening hours.

According to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City, a warming trend will persist through Wednesday afternoon, with highs running about 10°F above average for October. However, a cold front moving in late Wednesday night will bring a sharp drop in temperatures across northern Utah and southwest Wyoming. By Thursday, temperatures will plunge nearly 16 degrees, and breezy conditions will make it feel even colder. Residents are advised to pack layers and prepare for the sudden change in weather.

Thursday night could see lows around 43°F, with Friday bringing milder conditions and sunny skies. Highs on Friday will reach around 68°F, making for a cool but pleasant end to the work week. Saturday and Sunday will see a gradual return to warmer temperatures, with highs in the low 70s and mostly clear skies.
