Urbana, IL – Early Saturday morning, an unknown individual broke into twelve vehicles in an underground parking structure on the 500 block of West Main Street.
According to Urbana police, the suspect gained entry by breaking windows and exploiting an unsecured door to the structure. Officers arrived at 8:30 AM and began speaking with victims. The investigation is ongoing.
Authorities urge residents to secure valuables when leaving their vehicles and report suspicious activity to 911. Community members are also advised to ensure that parking structures and vehicles are properly locked.
