Binghamton, NY – Central New York is enjoying one final stretch of sunny and mild weather before a wet pattern moves in to end the week, according to the National Weather Service in Binghamton.

Forecasters expect mostly sunny skies Tuesday with highs in the low to mid-50s, followed by another partly to mostly sunny day Wednesday. Conditions will turn cloudy and wet Thursday, when a widespread, steady rain is forecast to spread across the region, keeping highs in the 50s.

By Friday and Saturday, scattered rain showers are expected to linger—especially across central New York, with highs dropping into the 40s to low 50s as cooler air settles in.

Typical late-October temperatures will accompany the rain, and while the end of the week looks damp, no severe weather is expected. The NWS recommends keeping umbrellas handy for Thursday and Friday plans.
