Green Bay, Wis. – A smoky Sunday is unfolding across Wisconsin as wildfire haze returns, bringing hazy skies and rising heat that could push inland temperatures into the upper 80s and low 90s.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, haze will linger into Sunday evening, especially across central and eastern Wisconsin. Visibility may be reduced, and those with respiratory conditions are advised to limit outdoor activity. By early Monday, the smoke will begin to clear, giving way to hot, partly cloudy skies, with highs ranging from 77°F to 88°F.

The next round of active weather arrives Tuesday, with a strong chance of soaking rainfall and scattered thunderstorms. Some of these storms may turn severe, particularly across Door, Brown, and Outagamie counties. Winds and lightning could impact travel during the morning and evening commutes.

Wednesday remains unsettled, with lingering rain chances and cooler highs in the mid-60s. By Thursday, drier air moves in from the northwest, offering a break from the humidity and storms.

Additional storm warnings could be issued early Tuesday, so residents are urged to monitor alerts and avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather periods.
