UK’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson tests positive for COVID-19

The UK’s Prime Minster, Boris Johnson, announced he has tested positive for Coronavirus and is now under self-quarantine. 

In the past week, Johnson drastically stepped up efforts to restrict movement in the UK following the spread of the pandemic.

Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus.

I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus.
