Chanhassen, MN – A warm end to the work week is on the way for the Twin Cities, with high temperatures climbing into the mid-to-upper 60s Friday afternoon. According to the National Weather Service Twin Cities office, this brief warmup will be followed by a sharp cooldown as a cold front moves through the region on Saturday.

The front is expected to sweep across Minnesota Saturday morning and could produce a few isolated rain showers, though widespread precipitation is not expected. Behind the front, highs will fall dramatically—dropping from 67°F on Friday to the low 50s Saturday and down into the mid-40s Sunday and Monday.

Overnight temperatures will also dip back toward seasonal norms. Lows will fall into the 30s Saturday and Sunday nights, with the coldest readings anticipated Sunday night as temperatures slip into the upper 20s across parts of the metro.

By early next week, highs will remain in the low 40s with partly cloudy skies, signaling a return to more typical mid-November conditions.
