Ontario, CA – In a rare event, three earthquakes rocked the same Ontario, California neighborhood back-to-back-to-back on Saturday, with over 1,500 residents reporting the tremors by 3:20 p.m.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the largest quake, with a magnitude of 3.9, struck 5 km southeast of Ontario. This was followed by a 3.5-magnitude tremor in the same area. Hours earlier, a 2.6-magnitude quake hit nearby, making for an unprecedented seismic sequence all within a small radius.

The USGS received a flood of “Did You Feel It?” responses, with 1,517 residents confirming they experienced the shaking. Fortunately, no significant damage or injuries have been reported as of Saturday evening, but the frequent quakes have raised concerns about potential aftershocks.

Local authorities are monitoring the area, advising residents to stay alert and prepared. Experts warn that more tremors could follow in the coming days, although it’s unclear if they will match the intensity of Saturday’s quakes.

This seismic cluster serves as a sharp reminder of the earthquake risks in California and the ongoing need for preparedness.
