
Rensselaer, IN – Traffic on I-65 was significantly disrupted early today following a semi-truck accident near mile marker 218NB. The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m., causing the semi to overturn off the roadway.
According to the Rensselaer Volunteer Fire Department, emergency crews responded quickly to the scene. The semi-truck, identified as an XPO Logistics vehicle, was found lying on its side, partially off the road. The accident resulted in I-65 being reduced to one lane, creating substantial delays for morning commuters.
No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the accident is still under investigation. Indiana State Police and local authorities are on the scene to manage traffic and begin the cleanup process. Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through the area and to expect delays while the roadway is cleared.
