Nashville, TN – A low tornado threat and heavy rainfall are expected to affect parts of Middle Tennessee through the weekend, with the most severe weather forecasted for Friday morning. The National Weather Service in Nashville warns that areas west of I-24 face the highest risk of severe weather.

According to the National Weather Service, the low tornado threat is concentrated from I-24 west. However, the primary concern is heavy rainfall, which is expected to bring 1 to 3 inches of rain across the region, particularly along the I-65 corridor. A Flood Watch is in effect through Saturday morning, impacting portions of western Middle Tennessee.

Residents are urged to remain alert, avoid driving through flooded roads, and monitor weather alerts closely. The heaviest rain is anticipated through Friday night, with showers continuing into the weekend. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
