Tinley Park, IL – 97 Animals Rescued In P.A.W.S. Dryer Fire

Tinley Park, IL – The Tinley Park Fire Department swiftly responded to a fire at P.A.W.S. of Tinley Park tonight, saving nearly a hundred animals. 

According to Fire Chief Steve Klotz, the emergency call came in around 6:30 p.m., reporting a large dryer fire at the animal shelter located at 8301 W. 191st St.

Firefighters, aided by a group of dedicated volunteers, managed to evacuate 55 cats and 42 dogs from the blazing building. All the animals were safely transported to Midwest Animal Hospital for overnight observation. 

Chief Klotz commended the volunteers and firefighters for their collaborative effort, ensuring a successful rescue. He also expressed gratitude towards Midwest Animal Hospital for their vital support in the aftermath of the incident.
