Tinley Park Honors 9/11 Victims with Patriot Day Ceremony and Memorial

Tinley Park, IL – The Village of Tinley Park will host a Patriot Day ceremony on Wednesday, honoring the victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The ceremony will take place at 7:30 a.m. near the World Trade Center beam located at Fire Station No. 46, 17355 S. 68th Court.

The event marks the 23rd anniversary of the attacks, and the ceremony will feature remarks from Tinley Park Mayor Michael Glotz and Fire Chief Steve Klotz. The public is encouraged to attend in person or watch the live stream on the Village’s Public Safety Facebook page.

According to the Village of Tinley Park, the Patriot Day event will pay tribute to those who lost their lives and honor the resilience of first responders and the nation. The memorial, which includes a beam from the World Trade Center, stands as a solemn reminder of the tragic day and the unity that followed.

The Village has held the Patriot Day ceremony annually, offering the community an opportunity to reflect and remember those affected by the attacks.
