According to the NWS, the severe weather is expected to affect regions including Boise, Twin Falls, and Idaho Falls. Residents are advised to prepare for potential storm impacts throughout the day and into the evening. The primary hazards include strong winds that could reach damaging levels and hail, which may cause localized damage.
In addition to the severe weather risk, Boise is experiencing a heatwave, with temperatures forecasted to reach a high of 101°F today. The NWS advises residents to stay hydrated and take precautions against the heat. The heatwave is expected to continue, with temperatures slightly decreasing but remaining high, reaching 99°F on Tuesday and mid-90s for the rest of the week.
