Corpus Christi, TX — Texas will continue to bake under extreme heat as the weekend approaches, with temperatures soaring into the triple digits. Saturday will see highs around 105°F, with the heat index making it feel even hotter. Residents in Corpus Christi and surrounding areas should prepare for a sweltering weekend, as there’s no significant relief in sight.

Saturday’s forecast indicates a slight chance of isolated showers east of Highway 281, but these will do little to cool things down. According to the National Weather Service, heat indices will range from 105°F to 110°F, particularly in areas like Alice, Tilden, and Cotulla.

Sunday’s temperatures will remain high, although slightly cooler, with highs near 100°F and heat indices still pushing 105°F. The UV index will be extreme, and rip currents are expected to remain low along the coast. Despite these conditions, residents are urged to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activities during peak heat hours.

Nights won’t bring much respite either, as temperatures will hover around the mid- to upper-70s. Warm, humid conditions are expected across the region, making it difficult to cool down even after the sun sets.

Looking ahead to early next week, temperatures will remain high but gradually decrease into the low 90s by Tuesday, offering a slight but much-needed reprieve.
