San Antonio, TX – Isolated thunderstorms are expected to impact the San Antonio area tonight, bringing potential showers and cooler temperatures to the region. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Austin-San Antonio has issued a forecast highlighting the Hill Country as the most likely area to experience these isolated storms.
According to the NWS, the evening will start with partly cloudy skies, but conditions may shift as thunderstorms develop later in the night. Residents in San Antonio and surrounding areas should be prepared for brief periods of heavy rain and possible lightning strikes. Overnight temperatures are predicted to dip into the lower 70s across the Hill Country, with similar lows in San Antonio. The Coastal Plains will experience slightly warmer overnight temperatures, in the mid-70s, while areas along the Rio Grande will stay in the lower 80s.
Though the storms are expected to be isolated, meaning not everyone will experience rain, those in affected areas should stay vigilant. The NWS advises keeping an eye on local weather updates throughout the night, as conditions may change rapidly. Residents are also encouraged to secure outdoor items and avoid unnecessary travel during any storm activity.
