Pasadena, TX – A man in Pasadena, Texas, was fatally struck in a hit-and-run on Thursday morning. The incident occurred shortly before 6:09 a.m. on Southmore Avenue, just east of the Shaver intersection, according to the Pasadena Police Department. The victim, who was operating a motorized cart, was crossing the street when a dark-colored pickup truck hit him and fled the scene without stopping.
Authorities report that the truck was traveling eastbound on Southmore at the time of the incident. The victim was rushed to the hospital by ambulance but later succumbed to his injuries. The Pasadena Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Team is leading the investigation and urges anyone with information to come forward.
