Austin, TX – Sunshine has returned to Central Texas, but cold Arctic air remains, keeping highs in the upper 30s to mid-40s Thursday.

The National Weather Service in Austin-San Antonio forecasts increasing clouds Friday, followed by showers Saturday into Sunday morning. There is a low chance of freezing rain early Saturday, mainly west of Austin, before temperatures rise later in the weekend.

By Sunday afternoon, drier conditions will return, leading to warmer weather early next week. Residents are encouraged to stay updated on potential winter weather impacts.
