Memphis, TN – A Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect for West Tennessee as wind chills are expected to drop near zero by Friday morning.
According to the National Weather Service in Memphis, dangerously cold air will persist from midnight Friday through noon. Frostbite could occur in 30 minutes or less, prompting officials to advise residents to stay indoors, cover exposed skin, and check on vulnerable individuals.
Temperatures will remain below freezing through Friday, with some relief expected over the weekend as conditions gradually warm.
