San Antonio, TX — The ongoing heatwave gripping Texas shows no signs of easing, with triple-digit temperatures forecasted to persist throughout the week. However, residents along the I-35 corridor can expect some overnight relief starting later this week.
High temperatures in the region, including San Antonio and Austin, will continue to hover between 101°F and 104°F through Wednesday. The National Weather Service has extended Heat Advisories across the northern Hill Country, I-35 Corridor, and Coastal Plains, warning of increased risks of heat-related illnesses.
According to the NWS, the intense heat will begin to ease slightly by Thursday night, with overnight lows dipping into the mid-70s. This will bring a welcome reprieve from the oppressive heat, especially for those living along the I-35 corridor.
By Friday, daytime highs will drop to the upper 90s, with overnight temperatures continuing to cool. The trend will persist into the weekend, with Saturday’s highs forecasted at 95°F, and lows dipping into the mid-70s once again.
