Pharr, TX – The Rio Grande Valley is set to experience extreme heat over the next five days, with temperatures soaring above 100°F. Beginning Friday, residents can expect highs ranging from 95°F to 103°F, accompanied by humid and dry conditions typical of Texas summers.
According to the National Weather Service in Brownsville, the scorching weather is expected to persist through early next week. Friday’s forecast predicts highs between 95°F and 102°F, with similar temperatures continuing throughout the weekend. Saturday and Sunday will see highs of 93°F to 101°F, and Monday will peak at 102°F.
Nighttime temperatures will offer little relief, with lows ranging from 75°F to 80°F. The intense heat, combined with high humidity, will make outdoor activities challenging. Officials urge residents to stay hydrated, avoid strenuous outdoor activities during peak heat hours, and keep an eye on vulnerable populations.
By Tuesday, temperatures are expected to reach a high of 103°F. With such extreme conditions, residents should prepare accordingly and monitor weather updates for any changes.
