Nashville, TN – Middle Tennessee residents can expect a mix of sun and clouds on Friday, but significant changes are on the horizon. Rain is forecast to return Saturday afternoon, bringing widespread showers through Tuesday, potentially easing ongoing drought conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will warm into the high 50s by Saturday as rain chances climb to 70% or more by the evening. Southbound travelers on I-65 and I-24 should prepare for wet roadways and reduced visibility during this period. Gusty winds up to 25 mph may accompany the rain, particularly on Saturday night and Sunday.

Friday will remain dry and partly cloudy with highs around 54°F, giving locals a chance to enjoy outdoor activities before the rain sets in. Overnight lows will dip to the mid-30s. Saturday starts mild but transitions to heavy rain by late afternoon, continuing through Sunday morning, with precipitation rates nearing 100%.

By Monday, showers persist but taper by evening, leaving cloudy skies and cooler temperatures. Tuesday brings a mix of sunshine and lingering light rain, offering partial relief to waterlogged areas. Temperatures next week will remain seasonable, with highs in the low 50s and lows in the upper 30s.

Residents are encouraged to monitor road conditions and exercise caution while driving during periods of heavy rain. The National Weather Service advises keeping umbrellas and rain gear handy through early next week.
