Nashville, TN – Middle Tennessee is set for a midweek warm-up, but rain returns with increasing chances Thursday and Friday. Highs will reach the mid-60s by the end of the week, making for an unseasonably warm start to February.

According to the National Weather Service, Nashville will see sunny skies Wednesday with a high near 59°F, followed by increasing clouds and a 50% chance of showers Thursday. A stronger system moves in Thursday night, bringing a 90% chance of rain, gusty winds, and potential thunderstorms. Friday remains wet, with temperatures peaking at 66°F before cooling slightly into the weekend.

Residents should prepare for slick roads during commutes and keep an eye on local forecasts for updated rain totals. While severe storms are not expected, heavier downpours could lead to minor flooding in low-lying areas.

Saturday will bring partly sunny skies with highs in the mid-50s, offering a brief break before another potential system arrives next week.
