Memphis, TN – A gradual warming trend will bring some relief to Memphis this week, with temperatures climbing above freezing and nearing 50°F by Monday. While the sunshine will dominate Friday and Saturday, residents should prepare for increasing rain chances by Sunday night.

Friday will feature sunny skies, with a high of 37°F. Winds will remain calm, shifting from the north at 5 mph before becoming southwesterly in the evening. Friday night temperatures will drop to a chilly 26°F under clear skies.

Saturday brings increasing cloud cover, with a high near 48°F and light south winds around 10 mph. According to the National Weather Service, rain becomes a possibility late Sunday. Sunday itself will be cloudy, with highs reaching 45°F, before a 40% chance of showers develops overnight.

By Monday, temperatures will peak at a mild 50°F under mostly sunny skies. Nights will remain cold throughout the weekend, with lows ranging from 26°F to 34°F. The upcoming rain may create slick conditions on roadways like I-40 and I-55, so motorists should exercise caution.

Enjoy the warmer temperatures this weekend, but plan ahead for the possibility of wet conditions as the new week begins.
