Lawrenceburg, TN — The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) is asking the public for help to identify the driver in a deadly hit-and-run that claimed a pedestrian’s life in Lawrence County.
The crash happened early Friday on U.S. Highway 43 near Smith Circle in Loretto. THP reports that a vehicle, believed to be a white or silver extended cab pickup truck from 2000-2010, was last seen heading north toward Lawrenceburg. The truck may have front-end damage.
According to the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security, the incident occurred at about 2:20 a.m., with investigators focusing on locating a Ford Ranger or Mazda model.
