Nashville, TN – DNA testing has confirmed the human remains discovered in Wilson County as those of 23-year-old Blanca Guadalupe Berrios Orellana. Authorities discovered the remains on September 12 at a property on Burnt House Road.
Orellana was reported missing by her mother on August 21, after she said she was heading to Murfreesboro. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is leading the investigation, with assistance from Metro Nashville Police and other local agencies.
According to police, Orellana’s remains were identified following extensive forensic analysis. Investigators are still working to determine the cause of her death. Wilson and Rutherford County law enforcement are continuing their collaboration to piece together Orellana’s final movements.
The multi-jurisdictional investigation remains ongoing, with no suspects identified or charges filed as of yet. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the TBI or local law enforcement.
