Knoxville, TN – Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers are seeking public assistance to identify a woman found injured along I-40. The woman was discovered on Friday night at 8:17 p.m. lying in the eastbound emergency lane near the 341-mile marker in Roane County. The location is about one mile from Exit 340 at the Rockwood Municipal Airport Road exit.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the woman is a Black female who suffered severe injuries. Troopers immediately contacted Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and the woman was transported to UT Medical Center.
