Alamo, Ind. – State Road 234 near Shades State Park will close temporarily for maintenance, the Indiana Department of Transportation announced.
Crews will begin work on or after Wednesday, closing S.R. 234 for one day between County Road 875 W and County Road 800 S. The closure is necessary to complete essential maintenance. Work is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled if conditions change.
According to INDOT, the designated detour will direct drivers to State Roads 47, 32, and 341. Drivers should use caution near work zones and follow detour signage to avoid delays.
INDOT urges motorists to plan ahead and allow extra time for their commutes during the closure. Alternate routes should be considered to minimize disruptions.
