Houston, TX – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office will host a free turkey distribution event Thursday to help families in need.
The giveaway begins at 10 a.m. at the Guanajuato Supermarket, located at 5429 E. Mt. Houston Rd. Turkeys will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies run out. Each family will receive one turkey.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the event is part of their community outreach to support families during the Thanksgiving holiday. Partnering with local organizations such as Amigos Meat and the Guanajuato Supermarket, the goal is to provide families with a warm Thanksgiving meal.
The event is expected to draw a large turnout, so organizers recommend arriving early. For more information, residents can call 346-286-3125.
