LAKE CHARLES, LA – Four teenage girls are now in custody on murder charges after live-streaming a stabbing at Walmart on social media.
According to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, officers arrived at the store shortly after 7:30 pm when a fight broke out among several girls inside the store. Upon arrival, officers found a 15-year-old had been stabbed. That girl was transported to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries.
In a video posted online, chilling screams are heard while the girls race through the store after another girl approached the group.
An onlooker can be heard in the background screaming ‘Somebody help her!’ before the teens leave the store. By the end of the posting, one of the girls can be heard yelling “We just stabbed that b*tch in the heart!”
One of the girls involved in the stabbing has been arrested on charges of 2nd degree murder with three others were charged with principal to 2nd degree murder. Investigators say the three girls either encouraged or assisted in the stabbing.
The girls ages range from 12 to 14 years old.
“The whole murder was played out on (Social Media),” Sheriff Tony Mancuso said Sunday night, a day after the homicide, asking parents to take control. “There appeared to be no remorse. It was, very cold to see 12, 13, 14 year old girls acting this way. We as a society can not tolerate this. I’m praying every day we can figure this out as parents.”
