Teenagers Injured, One Dead in Rock Island County Two-Car Crash

East Moline, IL – A two-vehicle crash on Illinois Route 5 in East Moline left one person dead and three teenagers injured Thursday evening.

The crash occurred around 6:02 p.m. near the 3300 block of Illinois Route 5, involving a white 2006 Dodge sedan and a gray 2012 Ford sedan. According to the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office, the sole occupant of one vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three teenagers in the second vehicle were transported to Mercy One/Genesis Illini Campus for treatment. Their conditions were not disclosed, and no names have been released as the investigation continues.

Emergency crews from multiple agencies, including Carbon Cliff Fire Department, Moline Fire Department, and Genesis Ambulance, responded to the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact their department.
