Teen Killed in SUV and Dirt Bike Crash in Whiteside County on April 30th

Whiteside County, IL – A 13-year-old boy was pronounced dead Wednesday afternoon following a crash between a dirt bike and an SUV in rural Whiteside County.

According to the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 3:36 p.m. to the 18000 block of Lomax Road for a reported traffic collision involving the two vehicles. Upon arrival, deputies and EMS located the juvenile unresponsive. Despite medical efforts at the scene, the teen was ultimately pronounced deceased.

The crash remains under investigation by the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit. The agency was assisted at the scene by Prophetstown Fire & EMS, the Illinois State Police, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources Conservation Police, the Whiteside County Coroner’s Office, and Randy’s Towing.

No further details have been released, including the identity of the victim or the circumstances surrounding the crash.
