Tampa, FL – Thick morning fog blanketed parts of the Tampa Bay region early Monday, cutting visibility for drivers and creating a slow, cautious commute on I-75, I-4, and area bridges. As the fog lifts by midmorning, a bright and unseasonably warm stretch takes hold just in time for Thanksgiving travel.
According to the National Weather Service in Tampa Bay, areas of dense fog will persist through roughly 8 a.m., especially inland and along rivers and lakes. Drivers are urged to use low beams and allow extra time, as visibility could drop below a quarter mile in spots.
Once the haze clears, sunshine returns with highs near 84°F. The pattern repeats through Tuesday with light winds and mild mornings in the mid-60s. Wednesday looks mostly sunny, climbing to near 83°F before a weak front cools things slightly for Thanksgiving Day.
Thursday brings partly sunny skies and highs near 75°F — ideal weather for gatherings, local travel, or early shopping. The region stays dry into the weekend with cooler mornings and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.
