Milton, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating a shots-fired incident reported early Sunday morning at a residence in Milton, raising safety concerns for nearby neighbors.

According to the Delaware State Police, troopers responded at approximately 6 a.m. Sunday to a home in the 30000 block of Fisher Road after receiving reports of gunfire. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 39-year-old resident heard a loud noise strike the home during the early morning hours.

When troopers arrived on scene, they observed a bullet hole in the front of the residence, which caused damage inside the home, police said.

At the time of the incident, two adults and two children were inside the residence. Authorities confirmed that no one was physically injured.

The investigation is being handled by Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit, which remains actively working to determine where the shot came from and who may be responsible.
