Indianapolis, IN – Severe storms swept through central Indiana last night, bringing suspected tornadoes and heavy rain. Reports indicate potential tornado damage near Perkinsville and New Castle, with areas like Arcadia, Anderson, and southeastern Rush County among the hardest hit.

According to the National Weather Service Indianapolis, the storms caused significant concern, prompting calls for additional damage reports from residents. The agency is focusing on evaluating the extent of the impact, especially in the primary areas of concern.

As the weather calms today, clear skies and temperatures reaching up to 90°F are expected. However, the reprieve will be brief. Rain is forecasted for Wednesday with a 45% chance of showers and a high of 91°F. Thursday continues the trend with a 40% chance of rain and temperatures climbing to 93°F.

Friday will see a slight dip in temperatures to 84°F, with a 40% chance of rain. The weekend promises some relief, as Saturday and Sunday bring partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid to upper 80s. Looking ahead, Monday and Tuesday should maintain clear skies with highs around 87°F and 89°F respectively.
