According to the National Weather Service, patchy fog is expected tonight, with lows dipping to 34–41°F. Sunday will bring a 20–40% chance of rain, primarily east of the Mississippi River. Highs will range from 43–50°F, but expect a cooler night with temperatures dropping to 30–35°F.
The workweek will kick off with mostly cloudy skies on Monday and highs in the mid-40s. By Monday night, there is a 50% chance of rain or a rain/snow mix, particularly in the Davenport and Moline areas. On Tuesday, precipitation could continue in the morning before clearing, with highs struggling to reach 39°F.
Looking ahead to New Year’s Day, sunny skies are forecast, but temperatures will remain chilly, with highs around 33°F and lows nearing 20°F. Gusty winds may make it feel even colder, so dress warmly for outdoor celebrations.
