Little Rock, AR – Residents across Arkansas are bracing for another day of extreme heat and humidity as a dangerous heat wave continues to sweep through the state. The National Weather Service in Little Rock issued excessive heat warnings and heat advisories for Sunday, with heat index values expected to range from 95 to 115 degrees. The warnings are in effect throughout much of central and southern Arkansas, with particularly intense heat anticipated in areas such as Little Rock, Hot Springs, and Pine Bluff.

According to the National Weather Service, this dangerous heat will persist throughout the day until a cold front moves into the region late Sunday evening. High temperatures are forecasted to reach the upper 90s and low 100s, with heat indices pushing well above 110 degrees in many locations. The excessive heat could cause heat-related illnesses, particularly for those spending prolonged periods outdoors.
