Statewide Silver Alert Issued in North Dakota for Missing Native American Teen

Bismarck, ND – A Silver Alert has been issued statewide in North Dakota for an 18-year-old Native American man last seen walking near Lansford.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) and Bureau of Criminal Investigation (ND BCI), Hayden Trottier was reported missing by the Rolette County Sheriff’s Office. Trottier was last spotted on foot along Highway 83 in Lansford at approximately 3:24 p.m. on Friday, March 28.

Authorities describe Trottier as 6 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 194 pounds, with long brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, blue jeans, and lime green shoes. A distinguishing feature is a small heart-shaped birthmark on the top of his left hand. Officials consider Trottier a vulnerable adult.

The alert spans all 53 counties in North Dakota, reflecting the urgency of locating Trottier quickly. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Rolette County Sheriff’s Office at 701-477-5623.
