St. Charles, Ill. — On June 20, the City of St. Charles will premier episode one of the new “City Insider” podcast. The podcast aims to present the “human side” of the public service departments of the city. City staff and officials will be featured on the podcast for stories behind the life of a city worker.
The podcast is co-hosted by Lisa Garhan and Kara Silva from the St. Charles Communications team. In each episode, they will break the time up into two segments. The first part will include a discussion with city staff on a service-centered topic. The second segment features insights from local elected leaders.
The debut episode will feature Fire Chief Jeremy Mauthe and Police Patrol Commander Rob Vicicondi. They will discuss the topic of mental health for first responders. In the second segment, Garhan and Silva bring in newly elected Mayor Clint Hull. He’ll discuss insights on leadership and reflections from his first days in office with the Communications team.
The podcast will air from June 2025 to April 2026 in six episodes. It is available to be listened to on the City of St. Charles website, Spotify, and YouTube, starting with the first episode on June 20. It will be recorded at the Sr. Charles Public Library in the Sound Studio.
