Spartanburg and the Upstate are dealing with a wet start to the forecast as rain and areas of patchy fog linger today. Showers become more widespread through the day, with highs topping out in the upper 50s. Rain continues into tonight, tapering off late as winds turn light and temperatures fall into the mid-40s.
Friday brings a noticeable improvement. Sunshine returns, clouds clear out, and it turns pleasantly mild with highs in the mid-50s. Friday night will be mostly clear and cooler, setting up a beautiful weekend across the Upstate.
Saturday and Sunday both look sunny and dry, with highs in the mid-50s Saturday and climbing into the lower 60s on Sunday — excellent weather for outdoor plans.
Looking ahead to the holiday, Christmas Eve on Wednesday is shaping up especially nice. Current forecasts point to mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures near the mid-60s, well above average for late December, with no significant weather issues expected at this time for travel or holiday activities.
