Great Falls, MT – Residents of Montana can expect a warm weekend as upper-level ridging brings back above-average temperatures across the region. Lower elevations are forecast to reach highs between the upper 80s and low 90s. Along the Missouri River, some areas may see temperatures rise into the mid-90s.

According to the National Weather Service in Great Falls, the warmth will be accompanied by mostly sunny skies on Friday and Saturday. Temperatures will hover near 90 degrees at lower elevations, with Saturday expected to bring highs in the low 90s.

While the weekend will stay mostly dry, Sunday could see thunderstorms in Southwestern Montana. Areas outside of the storm’s reach will remain partly cloudy, with highs staying in the upper 80s to low 90s.

Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated and take precautions against heat exposure. Cooler weather may follow the stormy conditions expected late Sunday. Check weather updates for the latest information as conditions develop across the state.
