Detroit, MI – Southwestern Michigan will experience showers and a few thunderstorms this morning, particularly affecting the Thumb and Tri-Cities areas. According to the US National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac, while severe weather is unlikely, locally heavy rainfall remains possible.

Today’s high temperatures are expected to range from 78 to 86 degrees, with lows between 64 and 70 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms will persist throughout the morning and early afternoon, leading to warm and muggy conditions for the rest of the week.

According to the forecast, Wednesday will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms, with temperatures climbing higher, reaching between 85 and 88 degrees for the highs and 66 to 72 degrees for the lows. Thursday’s weather continues the trend with scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms and similar temperature ranges.

By Friday, southwestern Michigan will see numerous showers and thunderstorms with highs from 82 to 85 degrees and lows between 66 and 69 degrees. The precipitation chances remain high, particularly in Bad Axe (81%), Sandusky (65%), and Saginaw (52%).

Weekend weather will improve slightly. Saturday is expected to be mostly clear with temperatures in the mid-80s. Sunday will maintain similar conditions, providing a reprieve from the stormy weather earlier in the week.
